This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or released, obtain an official booking file, release a person, or post bond. Contact the office that holds the record for those services.
Choose the Correct Records Office
County booking and detention questions belong with the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. The current Sheriff contact page states that email is monitored during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. The Detention and Rehabilitation Center operates around the clock, but that does not mean its records staff or email responds at all hours.

The official source depends on the request:
- For a mugshot, booking sheet, current roster entry, or records-request steps, use the county booking hub and the Sheriff's Public Information Act route.
- For recent arrest windows or a Sheriff news release, use the roster and news paths collected on the home page.
- For a warrant-status question, follow Wanted Fugitives to the Sheriff warrants extension and court contacts. An online case result is not always final warrant confirmation.
- For release or transfer notifications, use Maryland VINE. It is a notification service and does not provide mugshots.
- For a sentenced person in state custody, use the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services locator. County booking photos remain with the county custodian unless another agency also holds a record.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration custody uses the separate ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For court outcomes, contact the St. Mary's District Court at 23110 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, or call 301-880-2700.
Emergencies go to 911. The Sheriff's non-emergency reporting number is 301-475-8008. Do not send an emergency, a tip, or a time-sensitive safety report to the records email.
